Londonfahrt 2026

Hello everyone!

What an exciting week it has been! 50 year 7 students, accompanied by four teachers, have just returned from a fantastic trip to London, packed with unforgettable experiences, famous sights, and plenty of fun along the way.

After arriving in England and settling in with their host families, the students quickly got a feel for everyday British life. For many, staying with a host family was a completely new and exciting experience.

Over the following days, London showed itself from its very best side. A real highlight was the spectacular ride on the London Eye, offering stunning views across the city. The visit to Madame Tussauds brought students face to face with lifelike wax figures of celebrities, while the tour of the historic Globe Theatre gave fascinating insights into the world of Shakespeare and his time.

Exploring the city on foot was a big part of the adventure. The group passed many of London’s most famous landmarks, including Big Ben, the Horse Guards, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace. The vibrant areas of Covent Garden, Chinatown, Leicester Square, and Piccadilly Circus added even more excitement to the trip. Walking across Tower Bridge was another memorable moment and a perfect opportunity for group photos or a photo of the famous Tower of London.

One day, the group left London behind for a special excursion to the south coast. First stop was the impressive Dover Castle, where all students explored the historic grounds and learned more about its important role in English history. With its stunning views over the English Channel, it was definitely a highlight of the day! Afterwards, the group continued to the charming city of Canterbury. There, students enjoyed some free time for sightseeing and shopping, strolling through the picturesque streets and soaking up the special atmosphere.

One particularly special experience was the boat trip along the River Thames to Greenwich, where the students were able to explore this historic district and enjoy a different perspective of London.

And of course, there was time for shopping too! A visit to Oxford Street was a must, and many took the chance to buy souvenirs and gifts to bring back home.

After several days full of impressions, laughter, and lots of karaoke on the bus, the group returned to Frankfurt with great memories and plenty of stories to tell.

A trip like this will certainly not be forgotten anytime soon!
