Music in year 8 (bilingual course)    

Bilingual music education will give you the opportunity to improve your English speaking skills in a casual and positive atmosphere. You will learn the musical terms quickly, as the terminology is usually accompanied by a practical application. You can, for instance, learn the English term “trombone“ while LISTENING to the sound of this instrument and you can find out the meaning of a beat in “triple time“ by PERFORMING it in class. Since the focus in year 8 is on the development of popular music in America – from Afro-American slaves’ worksongs to Jazz, Rock’n’Roll and Hip Hop – you learn about the topic in an authentic setting.
